January 29, 1941, Thailand and Vietnam's conflicts came to an end due to Japan's mediation. One month later, Japan forced Vietnam to yield lands to Thailand. In the early half of the twentieth century, Thailand was close to Japan regarding to diplomatic affairs. In the case of Manchu of League of Nations, Thailand chose to abstention of the voting. Economically, it also became a ring of Japan's trade circle in Southeast Asia.
