Abstract:
According to a survey made by the King Car Education Foundation in 2007, for the Taiwan international status involved in a referendum relating with Taiwan’s getting back to the United Nations, Taiwan’s student has no idea at all. In March 2007, the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said, “Taiwan is part of China.” The State Department of the United States told the United Nations, “The remarks of Secretary-General Ban could not get general support from the member countries of the United Nations, including the United States.” Opinions from the United States deemed that this is the right time for Taiwan to reeducate the international society about its legal status. Based on rigorous academic study of the historical text and broad historical perspective, this book reinterprets Taiwan’s sovereignty status.
