Abstract:
Since the summer of 1994, when Russian President Yeltsin handed over 216 secret documents related to the Korean War to the visiting president of South Korea, the veil of secrecy over this war has been opened a little. This series contains 554 files from the Russian National Archives relating to the Korean War. With regard to numbers, this collection far surpasses Russian, English, and Korean documents that have previously appeared in publications in different countries. Most of these files are telegrams between the leaders and organizations of the Soviet Union, China, and North Korea, meeting records, records of meetings of various departments in the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and Soviet Union’s government requests for instructions, situation reports, as well as telegraphs, letters, and so on. The publication of this book series will help researchers and ordinary readers in the Chinese- speaking world explore and resolve the mysteries and secrets of this war.
