Abstract:
Yuan Shikai can be considered an outstanding figure in modern Chinese history. From the time he was posted to Korea as a soldier in 1882, he very rapidly became a figure of international fame. Everything he did in Korea was brilliantly inmpressive and this accumulation of experience truly had great influence over his later political career. It could even be said that this was a microcosm of later political career.
