    Abstract:
    Chiang taught at Peking University, National Taiwan University, served as an International Monetary Fund researcher, and was a professor at Cornell University. He was elected an Academia Sinica academician in 1958. He served as an economic adviser to the Executive Yuan, on the Tax Reform Committee and as convener of the Committee of Economic Reform. In 1980, he planned the establishment of Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research, and served as the president of the Institute. Mr. Chiang is an accomplished scholar of economics, with particular innovations in the area of money theory; he made many great contributions to Taiwan’s economy.
