The editors collected historical materials relating to Bai Chongxi (Pai Chunghsi) role in the Northern Expedition from government announcements as well as newspapers from northern and southern China. Over 500 items are included here, comprising over 20 million words. The various activities and conversations of the General during the Northern Expedition are completely recorded, the books providing a comparatively broad and rich depiction of the progress of the Revolutionary Army during the Northern Expedition.
