Abstract：
From the signing of the Treaty of Nerchinsk in 1689 to the completion of the Qiqihar Agreement in 1911, the boundary between China and Eastern Russia was negotiated and redrawn many times. This book focuses on major events that shaped the Sino-Russian border during the late Xiannfeng reign (1850-1861) and two land surveys thereafter; this book thereby explores the situation of the eastern frontier.
