    Abstract:
    本書在研究的方法上,既非就軍事論軍事,亦非單純分析國與國之間的侵略與反侵略, 而是從中日雙方國內政爭不斷的時代特點出發。在結合兩國國內各派系你爭我奪、生死 存亡的研究架構中,探討中日圍繞華北的互動關係。尤其是具體檢視蔣介石在熱河戰 役、長城保衛戰、《塘沽協定》、《何梅協定》、盧溝橋事變等一連串戰和過程中的對 應策略,冀望建構出不同時空背景如何影響他主觀意志的分析框架,進而掌握「安內攘 外」政策的實質內涵,以及蔣介石落實這項政策的準則。特別是解析他在處理華北事務 時,堅持與退讓的基準何在?盧溝橋事變時,他又為何不願再退讓?
