Congratulations to Sheng-hsiung Su (Associate Research Fellow and Director of the Archives) on receiving the 60th Sun Yat-sen Academic Publication Award

*Time:2025/11/12

*Department:Secretariat

The Sun Yat-sen Academic and Cultural Foundation organizes the annual “Sun Yat-sen Academic Publication Award,” with a review committee composed of highly respected, distinguished scholars. Nominations and applications are accepted from universities and research institutes nationwide. Through a multi-stage process—preliminary review, external review, secondary review, and final deliberation—the committee selects outstanding scholarly works of originality and confers certificates, trophies, and prize money.

First presented in 1966, the award marks its 60th edition this year. Dr. Su Sheng-hsiung has received the 60th Sun Yat-sen Academic Publication Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) for his monograph, War, Institutions, and Thought: The Rise of the General Staff in Modern China, published in our institute’s special series. The award recognizes his original insights and substantive contributions to the study of modern Chinese military and political history.
