September 26, 1792, Marcartney Embassy launched its journey to China. This is the earliest embassy between China and Britain in the modern history. However, the Qianlong Emperor still considered Britain as barbarian. His arrogance aroused the delegation's animosity, such as George Thomas Staunton. He later promoted to declare war toward China.
