November 7, 1894, Empress Dowager Cixi held her 60th Birthday party. From the Tongzhi reign on, Cixi became the highest ruler in China. Later, the Guangxu and Xuantong Emperor was chosen because of their additional kinship with Cixi. So did other powerful vessels such as Prince Qing. In other words, Cixi's family had important status in late Qing politics. However, there were many rumors about Cixi's family relationship. For this reason, our research finding clarifies the truth.
