April 8, 1873, the Shaanxi Muslim Bai Yanwu escaped out of the Jiayu Pass to Xinjiang. The "Shaan-Gan Muslim's Rebellions" came to an end. Later Zuo Zongtang continued to march to Xinjiang to pacify the rebellion.
