Abstract:
When the Mainland was lost Liu was serving as the Minister of Economic Affairs in Yan Xishan's cabinet. In Taiwan, he was accused of corruption, and the case was dragged out over a period of years. This book goes into detailed discussion of Liu’s role as intermediary between Chongqing and Nanjing before KMT power reached into Sichuan. The case he was involved in reflects the political situation before and after 1949.
