Abstract:
Wang (Wang Shih-Ching) served as an interviewer at the Taiwan Archives and as an adjunct researcher at the Academia Sinica Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities. He researched Taiwanese history all his life and published 39 books; his areas of research include ancient books and Taiwanese social-economic history of the Qing Dynasty. He has made enormous contributions to the world of the arts. Moreover, his cautious approach to research is particularly worthy of emulation by later scholars.
