Abstract:
Before Ms Shao (Hsiao Menglan) came to Taiwan, she was principal of Shixin Girls in Zhejiang Province. After coming to Taiwan, she has worked as a teacher of Chinese literature at Hsinchu Junior High School, teaching director of Keelung Junior High School for Girls, director of Taipei First Girls High School’s evening school, principal of the Shilin Junior High in Taipei, principal of Shilin High School and junior high and a lecturer at Chinese Cultural and Soochow universities. This book provides a great deal of important historical information about the modern history of Chinese women, history of Chinese education, and history of Taiwanese education.
