Abstract：
In 1940 Chiang Futzing became the first director of the National Central Library. In 1965, he was transferred to the post of director of the National Palace Museum, during which time he made the National Palace Museum an internationally renowned, world-class museum. He was devoted to the study of Song History, with great success, and was elected an Academia Sinica academician in 1974.
