Abstract:
In 1949, Chang Minchih, the principal of Yantai Associated High School, led more than fifty hundred students away from Shandong to Penghu to evade the Communist. At July 13th, the students were forced by the Penghu Defense Command to be soldiers. Fighting for the rights of students, Chang Minchih was charged with espionage, and was executed along with Tsou Chien and five students: Liu Yunghsiang, Tan Maochi, Ming Tungle, Chang Shihneng, and Wang Kuangyao. There were other two students who died in prison: Wang Tzuyi and Yin Kuangchu, and other many is arrested and forced to attend correction programs. The event is called “the Persecution in Penghu.
