Abstract:
This book explains historical change of Taiwan including the shift of historical center from the south to the north, the raise of social status of the Zhangzhou people and Hakka people relative to the Quanzhou people, the rise of native capital relative to mainalnd capital and Western capital by analyzing the market structure and production area of the main export products of the treaty ports respectively of South Taiwan and North Taiwan.
