Abstract:
The author once went to historic sites all over Macao and later collected a wide range of documents held in government archives and historical documents preserved in churches. These were then carefully examined and verified, a process that took a full 20 years. The book has ten chapters that apart from describing Macao’s geography and history, give a detailed introduction to Macao’s various batteries, historic churches and early relations between Macao and Hong Kong.
