    Abstract:
    Academia Sinica academician Wei studied medicine in his early years, specializing in pediatrics. During the Second World War he practiced in Taiwan, the Mainland, Japan, and other places. After the war, he took charge of the transformation of Taiwan University Hospital and medical school. His life and experience provide the best evidence for the development of modern medicine in Taiwan.
