Zhang Zhiben (Chang Chih-pen) served as Provincial Chairman of Hubei, Head of the Administrative Court, a National Assembly member, and Justice Minister, among other positions. This book discuses the late Qing keju(imperial examinations), the education situation, background of the Wuchang Uprising and later activity, the split in the Kuomintang, an overview of his time governing Hubei, in addition to his life- long efforts to write the ROC Constitution and time in justice administration.
