Abstract:
This book is a collection of interviews with 14 urban planners from industry, government and academia. It discusses the situation from the 1950s to the present. The content of these interviews includes the promotion of the introduction of urban planning concepts from Europe, America, and Japan, the assistance provided by UN advisory missions, building of new towns, urban design, urban renewal and other matters and also contain policy suggestions and discussion, providing valuable information about the history of Taiwanese urban planning.
