Abstract:
Li greatly established a goods management system for Xinxin Department Store run by his father and diversified operations. After the Mainland fell to the Chinese Communists, he abandoned the family business and moved to Hong Kong, where he engaged in other work. In 1957, he emigrated to Australia, where his business underwent a second spring. Due to his family history, this book provides valuable information about the history of Shanghai commerce in the 1940s, commerce in the 50s in Hong Kong, and the history of Australian Overseas Chinese.
