    Abstract:
This book includes recollections of Mr. Guo (Kuo Ting-Yee) by 28 former pupils and old friends. Aside from his academic style, the interviewees talk of his wisdom, arduous founding of the Institute of Modern History, and the inspiration Guo gave them for their own academic careers. This book is not only a history of the development of the Institute of Modern History’s "Nankang School", but also an important source material for constructing the history of the development of academia in the Republic of China.
