Many histories regarding the wars of modern history focus on men, and yet the history of the women who shared in being affected by the flames of war has only recently been regarded as important. Through the records of nine interviews with women, and the recollections of one male relative, a history of women in war is constructed. Women's lives amidst the chaos of war are shown in full, differing from dialogue from mainstream war history.
