    Abstract:
This book examines the revolutionary impact of the constitutional movement, and the position of the constitutionalist party in the 1911 Revolution. The author (Zhang Pengyuan) employs political principles to analyze the background, beliefs and organization of the constitutionalist party; with the perspective of mass movements, he illustrates a cross-section of the strategy and impact of the mass base and mass movements, and he draws upon crowd psychology for insights into their emotional state. He also researches case studies about individual lives after their participation in the revolution in order to discuss different types of reactions to the revolution.
