    Abstract:
    This book uses all of the agricultural and forestry ministry files in the Institute of Modern History’s collection, Japanese field investigations and reports, customs reports, and other information, investigating the production elements of the Chinese machine silk reeling industry, all of the difficulties it encountered in the process of development, in addition to the roles played by the government and wider society, This book compares the differences in the development trajectories of the three important machine silk reeling industrial areas:Jiangsu, Guangdong and Sichuan and also analyzes and discusses the changes they went through in the period of the War of Resistance against Japan.
