    Abstract:
Chao Juyu was transferred to the post of manager of the Taiwan Bureau of the Central Trust of China in 1949; the next year, the Trust moved to Taiwan, and he became Manager of the Life Insurance Office, organizing insurance for servicemen, from which officials and soldiers numbering in the hundreds of thousands benefited, and which had a huge impact on morale. Later, he organized “Civil Servants' Insurance”, which stabilized the lives of the nation's public servants. In 1956, he transferred to the Executive Yuan's Veterans' Affairs Commission, and in 1964 he rose to head the Commission. He exerted himself to the utmost for veterans and their dependents and made a big contribution in this role. He also worked tirelessly to expand the Republic of China's people-to-people diplomacy, successfully advancing Taiwan's international position.
