Abstract:
Can traditional Chinese culture adapt to modernized industrial society? Does the successful development experience of Taiwan in the last few decades have any kind of significance in terms of the complicated problem of tradition and modernization in modern history? Beginning from the angle of social and economic history, this book takes the Tainan Group, an important contemporary industrial group in Taiwan, as a case study and analyzes the development and changes in Taiwan's society and economy since 1945, in addition to the meaning of Taiwan’s experience.
