摘要:
       竊盜犯罪毫無疑問是人類社會中最傳統的犯罪類型,然而受限於史料與分析方法,過去歷史學界對這類犯罪類型的探討顯得不夠充分。十九世紀中葉的清代中晚期,因為川楚白蓮教與太平天國運動等大規模的動亂,吸引了大多數史家的目光,從而忽略了其它小型像是竊盜這類日常犯罪事件。本研究利用四川省《巴縣檔案》以彌補史料上的缺憾。在研究方法上,嘗試從法制史、法律社會史、歷史犯罪學、物質與消費文化,以及城市史與都市社會學等多元的角度來分析竊盜犯罪的現象,同時又注意到從十八至十九世紀中葉的變化,由此呈現朝代興衰、社會變動與犯罪發生的複雜交錯。
