摘要：
《人類怎樣質問大自然：西方自然哲學與科學史，從古代到文藝復興》是一本以「問題－解答」的理論模型來理解科學知識的演變，並應用到西方自然哲學與科學的發展上，針對「天」、「地」與「物質」這三個自然對象，嘗試編寫一個理論化的知識演變史。本演講想與聽眾分享我這本著作的幾個相關課題：(1) 一個「科學編史學」(historiography of science)的理論與方法；(2) 辨識「科學」的起源與指認歷史上的「科學」之判準；(3) 本書的編排結構與一些特色內容。
