摘要：
本文主要討論明清儒學有關生死的論述，指出「人死終散」與「個體不朽靈魂」是思想光譜的兩端，但許多士人的想法則落在思想光譜的中間，他們認為人死後的情狀會受到生前道德修養的影響，不能一概而論。本文主要討論三種論述的型態：一、生生不息的氣化流形；二、超越生死的性體與心體；三、具有死後個體性長存意涵的論述，及其思想淵源。文中亦嘗試針對與此議題相關之「個體性」、中西思想差異等問題，進行討論。
