Self-introduction

My research mainly focuses on how local elites interact with the municipal authorities, starting from the case study of the Yu’s lineage, and then to the members of the specific bureaus in the city government, what kind of authority they have, and whether they can play their expected functions under the specific context (such as World War II and so on). Furthermore, municipal council composed of local elites has put forward what bills, what municipal issues it pays attention to, and how to interact with the municipal government through bills. In the future, it will involve more details about daily life of the ordinary people, such as food, clothing, housing and transportation.
