自我介紹

陳冠任博士 (KJ Chen) 的學術專長為冷戰史、美國對外政策與東亞近代史。在2022年加入中央研究院近代史研究所之前，陳博士於丹麥哥本哈根大學與英國劍橋大學教授歷史，授課範圍包括：日本帝國、二戰在亞洲、近代中國、法蘭西帝國在印度支那的終結以及全球冷戰。他的專書 Charting America's Cold War Waters in East Asia: Sovereignty, Local Interests, and International Security 已於2024年由劍橋大學出版社出版。該書獲得日本第四十一屆大平正芳記念賞、北美海洋史學會約翰．萊曼圖書獎（世界海軍史），並入圍美國南方衛理公會大學總統史研究中心2025年最佳圖書。陳博士亦發表數篇期刊論文於 Cold War History, The Journal of Military History, The Journal of American-East Asian Relations, 《冷戰國際史研究》、《國史館館刊》以及《近きに在りて》。
